Serial # range HE71300001-HE81300241
Some of the Explorer BOV units have proved to be prone to cracking. We determined that the cause was some nonconforming materials in our supply chain. Affected BOV’s were manufactured July 2013 – Oct 2013 with serial numbers between HE71300001-HE81300241. Our dealers are replacing affected BOV’s with new ones made of a different material.
This issue could lead to flooding of the BOV and possible drowning. Discontinue use of your Explorer until it receives corrective service from your dealer. We ask that you contact the Hollis Dealer who sold you the Explorer to arrange the free repair.
WARNING: Discontinue use of the Explorer until new BOV is installed. ONLY Hollis Dealers and their trained service technicians can perform this service. Non-authorized persons who attempt the service procedure risk voiding the product’s warranty and rendering the product dangerously unsafe for SCUBA use.
